After extending the watch 24 hours @ 08:25:05 UTC Saturday, August 12, 2017, for regions in S.A.
After missing an M5.6 Peru that had occurred on 08.11 by .2 of a magnitude, I managed to bag the
    M5.8 – 94km WSW of Coquimbo, Chile 2017-08-12 12:54:12 UTC at a depth of 6.6 km.

Which at first glance, appears to fall just outside the encircled area but, if you look close at the alert map there is a marker/line above that covers the future epicenter quite nicely 🙂
    Orig. Forecast: https://quakewatch.net/forums/topic/hook-echo-august-2-2017-south-america/

Why had I put some of the more Southern Chile coastline on alert was based off TEC anomalies that appeared to occur above near Bolivia? I have been reviewing some of the higher mag. past events in and along Chile and Argentina, anomalies in the ionosphere were present and had appeared to occur nearby above Bolivia several days before some of the more Sothern Chile events, and be totally absent near the future epicenters. One take away note is prediction just using ionospheric anomalies alone can at times prove to be difficult, combining with other factors can make for a more precise forecast.
