Prediction for the emergence (report) of volcanism in the region of Raykjanes Peninsula, Iceland.

Forecast includes seismic activity in the range of 5.0 – 6.3 within 100 km’s of coordinates 21’57’w – 63’52’N

Period: From 12:30 UTC March 12, for 3 days

On 12th march at 05:15 UTC, the ACE satellite recorded a significant aspect change in the MAG Phi data. This coincided with sunrise on Mt Etna volcano in Sicily, and the ATB threshold was located on the Raykjanes Peninsula. Mt Etna has been active since 16th February, yet I have observed very few contacts in the ACE data, relating to this volcano. Therefore, I believe this correlation being recorded at this time, may predominantly have significance for Iceland in the coming days. The ATB threshold times in Iceland are currently changing by 3-4 minutes per day, compared to sunrise of 1-2 minutes per day on Mt Etna volcano. This means that this correlation between these locations, only occurs on 12th March !

Previous forecast attempts have been made with respect to seismicity in Iceland. And I can appreciate the frustration of receiving negative results. Therefore, I will forgo the seismic aspect of this forecast, if “JEC” wishes to continue with his quest… on this “forecast date” !
