Mark, you have the eruption time as 2314Z (23:14 UTC), and the report time as 2310Z… how could they report an eruption 4 minutes before it occurred ?

My mistake on your figures, you copied it correctly… I checked eruption for 1st March. Ebeko also erupted on 13th March and “1st April” !

    My mistake…deeply sorry. Forecast hit!

    I went to

    https://www.volcanodiscovery.com/ebeko/news.html

But it was not showing when I went there. Now it shows right at the top, front, and center. I have been to this website many times. So I hunted around and only found the 2020-03-01 report which I thought you got confused about. It must have been a reporting error on their end that they were working on when I arrived by shear strange timing. My cut and past was not altered in any way, not even for a simple spacing issues. I did see the all the March, February, and January eruptions/reports. Again my apologies.

    Mark,

I think I have fallen in love with you man lol… you are a true sportsman. You followed the right route to check my post, if updates were delayed through their system, then it is easy to see why you would come to the conclusion that you did. The error was not of your doing, and therefore no apology is required. I think the real issue that was in play, relates to the old adage “new recruit v old soldier”. I’m a little old fashioned in the way I work things out. And then this new guy comes along, and I suddenly find myself struggling to keep up with him… because he works like a T-Rex on steroids. You have got great passion and enthusiasm for this subject, and I feel you will be deservedly rewarded for your efforts.

This whole volcano thing was just a misunderstanding between two people, that have not had enough time to get to know each other. You held your hand up when it was not really of your doing, and by doing so, it shows that you are “considerate” to your fellow forecasters. However, I am also without blame, I made a big thing about something that many would be regarded as trivial. I am kind of struggling a bit with this virus situation we all find ourselves in. My neighbours sister wanted to do her bit to help people during this crisis, and volunteered to join our local church support group. Ten days ago, she brought me a home made cheese and onion pie, and yesterday I found out she was critical in hospital, and had tested positive for Covid-19. As you can appreciate, this was laying a little heavy on my mind yesterday, and you was the unfortunate fellow that I unloaded on. And for this, I am truly sorry for saying things that would not normally have been my nature to do so.

Hey everybody, Mark is a “GOOD GUY”, we can learn from him, and he can learn from us. We are ALL facing something unprecedented in our lives at the moment. So what we are doing here may seem a little menial right now, compared to the sacrifice and sorrow occurring all around us. However, take this thought to heart, this pandemic may take a heavy toll on us before this year is out. But it only took 6 hours for an earthquake in 2004, to wipe out a quarter of a million people… so we have to keep trying !

I think we’re done here Mark… lets go find some earthquakes 🙂
