Observational Note – It has been normal practice for years, that the USGS has always posted distance for seismic events in the South sandwich Islands, in relation to Visokoi and Bristol Islands. It now seems that they are calculating distance from the Argentine coast and Ascension Islands region, thousands of kilometres away… Must have “newbies” working for them !!
