Location: South of Sand Point, Alaska … 159’37’W – 54’35’N
Magnitude: 6.5 – 7.5
Margin: 350 Radial Kilometres
Period: From 20:45 UTC December 8, for 7 days
Analysis…
On 16th October at 15:11 UTC, a C class 3.5 solar flare occurred on the west limb of the sun, as sunspot 2774 was departing from view. This was not a very substantial flare, but it was notable because as of this day, it was the third strongest flare of 2020. Its predecessor was a C 9.3 which occurred on 29th May… nearly five months earlier. At 15:11 UTC on 16th October, the ATB threshold was located on coordinates 159’37’W – 54’35’N. Three days later on 19th October at 20:54:40 UTC, an M 7.6 event occurred south of Sand Point, Alaska on the stated coordinates.
On 7th December at 16:32 UTC, a C class 7.4 solar flare occurred from sunspot 2790… the event occurred whilst the sunspot was directly facing earth. At the time of this event, the ATB threshold was again located on the post seismic M 7.6 Alaska epicentre on the stated coordinates. However, on this occasion the ATB threshold was accompanied by the moon. At 16:31:37 UTC, the moon was located on longitude 159’37’W. The coordinates of the M 7.6 Alaska event, are as published by USGS. Referencing EMSC, longitude of this event is listed as 159’45’W… the moon would have been located on this longitude at 16:32:07 UTC !
Another correlation that got my attention on 7th December, occurred at 04:28 UTC. The ATE threshold was located on the post Seismic M 7.6 Alaska epicentre. The ATB threshold was located on both mt Etna and Mt Stromboli volcanoes in Italy. And the moon was located on longitude 15’14’E… Mt Stromboli volcano resides on longitude 15’12’E !
At 22:30:03 UTC on this day, an M 5.1 event occurred in the Solomon Islands. At this time, it was moonrise on Mt Etna volcano, and the sun was located on longitude 159’33’W… therefore, solar noon on the post seismic M 7.6 Alaska epicentre !
Looking back on 30th November, a rare 6+ double event occurred within 24 seconds of each other. At 22:54:34 UTC, an M 6.4 event occurred in the Tatar Strait, Russia. Followed at 22:54:58 UTC by an M 6.3 event in Salta, Argentina. I have surmised that if the moon was located on longitude 20’25’E at 22:54 UTC on this day, then the opposite longitude calculates as 159’35’W !
Other correlations for 16:32 UTC 7th December, which may be of interest to other members include; Sun located on longitude 70’04’W = solar noon in Iquique and Antofagsasta, Chile… and at “12-hours” earlier 04:32 UTC = moonrise in Iquique, Chile !!
Thank you
