    Forecast: 4.5 to 5.5 Greater Los Angeles area ( 34.039°N 118.080°W ) 160km/100mls radius less then 50km/31mls depth 2020-09-19 to 2020-09-24

    Observed: M 4.5 – 3km WSW of South El Monte, CA 2020-09-19 06:38:46 (UTC) 34.039°N 118.080°W 16.9 km depth

Thoughts: This 4.5 is a foreshock. It has been my experience that North American quakes take longer to occur and have less energy when they occur when compared to forecast results from most other area on the planet. I expect a slight increase in energy for the main earthquake. It will likely be very near where the 4.5 struck. Normally a quake like this would move south toward the California and Mexico boarder. However, because of the six 1.0 and greater aftershocks all striking with in yards of the 4.5, I consider the energy stuck and a larger event is building.

Thoughts: Another aftershock from the first 4.5 two days ago. But it does show energy remains in the area.
