Blown 🙁 … events in Mayotte have been occurring with frequency, so when I saw a stronger than average ACE contact at 14:44 UTC 8th July, I related this with sunset at this location, and a possible higher mag event. Unfortunately for me, it was also dusk on the pre-seismic M 5.6 Southwest Indian Ridge epicentre at this time !

An observation…
A significant aspect change occurred in the ACE satellite MAG data today at 16:02 UTC… this time coincided with dusk (night) on the Mayotte epicentres, on co-ordinates 45’41’E – 13’01’S. Sunrise occurred on these co-ordinates today at 03:20 UTC, it was also sunrise at this time on Orafajokull Volcano, Iceland (on the co-ordinates posted by RSOE), which commenced activity at 05:22 UTC on this day. Further to this, sunset occurred today on the Mayotte co-ordinates stated at 14:47 UTC… it was moonrise at this time in Millsmont, San Francisco Bay area, California (ref Samoa / California / San Francisco forecasts)… !
