Lester, I am having a hard time seeing any quakes right now. LOL

I think your quake was from a wave of energy that dropped off was earlier seen in these two locations

    Magnitude Mw 5.7
    Region FOX ISLANDS, ALEUTIAN ISLANDS
    Date time 2020-10-08 14:22:41.0 UTC
    Location 52.95 N ; 168.32 W
    Depth 44 km
Distances 1435 km SSW of Anchorage, United States / pop: 298,000 / local time: 06:22:41.0 2020-10-08
157 km SW of Unalaska, United States / pop: 4,400 / local time: 06:22:41.0 2020-10-08

    Magnitude Mw 5.9
    Region SOUTH OF ALASKA
    Date time 2020-10-06 05:54:50.6 UTC
    Location 54.91 N ; 159.86 W
    Depth 30 km
Distances 912 km SSW of Anchorage, United States / pop: 298,000 / local time: 21:54:50.6 2020-10-05
62 km SE of Sand Point, United States / pop: 1,000 / local time: 21:54:50.6 2020-10-05

Both of these were on the north side of the plate boundary. That generally means the energy mostly heads west and into Alaska or Canada. When we see 6.5 and larger the energy can head in three directions including back east and even make the U-Turn and head south and into California.

I think this energy headed into Canada and seen here (Canadian feed)

    Depth (km) 10.0

And then struck your watch area USGS feed darn near your center spot

    M 3.4 – 7km ENE of Petrolia, CA 2020-10-18 07:01:57 (UTC) 40.347°N 124.209°W 28.5 km depth

How ever the push indicates a north ward direction, so it could be the weird activity I am seeing and expecting coming Gulf of California and heading reverse direction to normal flow.

My conclusion is add some time but the 3.4 might have been it.

Lester, I no longer am having a hard time seeing quakes! LOL That 7.5 gives one a proverbial slap in the face and the comment, “get a hold of your self sir!”

Thanks for your input Mark, but I have a different theory why an event “may now” occur in Petrolia, California. I have checked correlations and ephemeral times for the last 6 weeks, in relation to the M 7.5 Sand Point, Alaska event (as per my methodology). The results showed several low 5’s correlations, but nothing that constitutes a contribution towards the level of this magnitude. However, I did find something intriguing, and believe it is too significant to be coincidental !

On 16th October, two C class solar flares were ejected from the limb of the sun. The first flare was a C 1.5 which peaked at 12:57 UTC. This was followed by a C 3.5 peaking at 15:11 UTC. At 15:11 UTC on this day, the ATB threshold (Astronomical Twilight Begins) was located on coordinates 159’40’W – 54’39’N, pre seismic location of the M 7.5 Alaska epicentre. You can check this out using the “Day And Night Map” at http://www.timeanddate.com

The first solar flare at 12:57 UTC, corresponded with the ATB threshold being located on Petrolia, California, on the coordinates of this forecast. I now wait for less influential correlations (lol) before making further commitments to this location !

On 20th September at 04:40 UTC, it was sunset on coordinates 159’40’W – 54’39’N pre seismic location of M 7.5 Sand point, Alaska epicentre of 19th October. And the moon was located on longitude 145’41’E (MacQuarie Harbour, Tasmania !). At “12-hours” earlier 16:40 UTC 19th September, the sun was located on longitude 71’37’W (Coquimbo !)… and it was moonrise on the coordinates of this forecast !

On 21st October at 20:22 UTC, Mt Bezymianny volcano erupted in Central kamchatka, Russia. According to http://www.volcanodiscovery.com this is the first time Mt Bezymianny has erupted since January 2019. At 20:22 UTC, it was moonrise on the coordinates of this forecast. Considering the significance of period with this event, in relation to this forecast location… I believe this to be the correlation I have been waiting for !
