Epicentre approximately 180 km’s SW of forecast co-ordinates.
Point in question: Magnitude is as published by EMSC… USGS has published 4.9 for same location. My forecast was for a 5 – 6 event, on this occasion I have gone for the advantage. EMSC has also published a mag 6 in the Philippines, same event is listed as 5.9 with USGS. Question is… Do you go for the more advantageous listing, or is there a standard we should be following ?
Seems like a small triviality, but if one publishes a 7.5, and the other a 7.4… might not seem so trivial for the person with a 7.5+ forecast !!
