According to EMSC records, seismic activity in the region of Reykjanes peninsula, suddenly terminated after an M 4.0 event occurred on 7th March at 17:06:11 UTC. I decided to continue with forecasts and analysis because I would imagine a few academic heads are being scratched, as reason for this termination is debated… and I may have found one possible answer !
On 7th March at 17:06:10 UTC, the moon reached its most southern latitude of 25’09’S for the month of March, at this very second of time. The moon remained at this latitude until 00:15:51 UTC 8th March.
My apologies for promoting previous negativity… and realize that “everyone” has experienced a hard 12 months in one way or another !

Score: 0115 ptslesterMarch 8, 2021 at 9:19 pm #10345Hey JEC, I have compiled more correlation data which will follow this post. I don’t usually bother trying to forecast volcanoes in Iceland. There are too many possibilities within a short distance of longitude… similar to the problem of predicting either Mt Etna or Mt Stromboli. I appreciate the heads up, and it is good to know that you are familiar with the science of volcanism. I have always had a fascination with volcanoes, but generally I am just a guy who connects A to B, and hopes for a result. My following data may or may not be relevant, but I would be tempted to try “third time lucky” on Iceland if it was my choice… that’s a hint 🙂

Starting with a couple of tables which implies a connection on 16th February, as also stated in the referenced thread for Mt Etna volcano. The following data relates to coordinates 21’57’W – 63’52’N Krysuvic, Iceland. This location was determined as the most favourable point, that the majority of correlations relate too. However, activity in this region has been occurring at a greater expanse. So, a one minute margin would be considered acceptable to comply with the source point.

On Thursday 4th March, I successfully predicted an M 6.1 event in Sola, Vanuatu. The primary data I used for my determinations, related to a correlation between Mt Sakurajima and Mt Ebeko volcanoes, which occurred on 28th February. I mention this because another significant correlation between these two volcanoes, is going to occur again at 09:22 UTC on 11th March. It will be sunset on Mt Sakurajima, and the ATE threshold will be located on Mt Ebeko volcano at this time. At “12-hours” earlier 21:22 UTC 10th March, it will be sunrise on the Banda Sea, in the same approx location that I gained a hit on 7th March. I also mention 11th March because my analysis shows that correlations with Iceland dry up after 4th March… but resume again on 11th March !!
On 11th March…
05:17 UTC – The ATB threshold will be located on Krysuvik… and it will be sunrise on Mt Etna volcano.
07:16 UTC – It will be moonset on Mt Sakurajima volcano… at “12-hours” later 19:16 UTC, it will be sunset on Krysuvik !
07:59 UTC – It will be sunrise on Krysuvik… at “12-hours” later 19:59 UTC, it will be sunrise on Mt Ebeko volcano… at one minute later 20:00 UTC, moonrise will also be upon Mt Ebeko !
It is my opinion that if activity from Mt Etna volcano remains constant up to this date. It is likely that consequences of the Sakurajima / Ebeko correlation, may ensue within a short period of days from 12th March. I cannot judge weather a volcano that has been dormant for 800 years, has the potential to erupt. I use long duration correlation with long period volcanoes, and I cannot find a potential partner (seismic / volcanic) to match with this region i.e. the Island of Puerto Rico shared a sunrise / sunset relationship with Mt Taal volcano in the Philippines for nearly 3 weeks during late / early 2019-2020. Puerto Rico then experienced an M 6.4 event (highest on record for this region), and Mt Taal volcano awoke and erupted 5 days later, after being asleep for 42 years. The most probable outcome is an emergence of more notable seismicity in the 5+ range… or even 6+ if all the aforementioned volcanoes experience an eruption within 48 hours of 11th March !

At this time, it was moonset on coordinates 21’57’W – 63’58’N Hafnarfjordur, Iceland… and the moon was located on longitude 50’16’W. Score: 0115 ptslesterMarch 16, 2021 at 5:40 pm #10380On 14th March at 14:15:26 UTC, an M 5.4 event occurred on the Raykjanes Peninsula in Iceland. I had previously posted a forecast for this region on 12th March. And the “prompting” correlation occurred at 05:15 UTC, when a significant aspect change in the ACE data, coincided with the ATB threshold being located on the Raykjanes region, and sunrise occurring on Mt Etna volcano at the same time. I was also mindful of a C class solar flare correlating to the same region on 9th March… but I don’t think this theory would stand up in court yet !
I believe the main instigators of this M 5.4 event, are Mt Etna volcano and the two currently active volcanoes of Hawaii… Mt Kilauea and Mauna Loa. On 14th March at 22:30 UTC, another spectacular eruption occurred from Mt Etna volcano. At this time, the sun was located on longitude 155’15’W Mt Kilauea volcano. On 15th March at 11:41:43 UTC, an M 5.3 event occurred in New Britain P.N.G. … at “12-hours” earlier 23:41:43 UTC 14th March, the moon was located on longitude 155’14’W Mt Kilauea volcano. These are the first signs of influential attraction at work from Mt Kilauea. So, earlier in the day on 14th March at 05:06 UTC, it was moonrise on Mt Kilauea volcano, and the ATB threshold was located on the Raykjanes Peninsula. At “12-hours” later 17:06 UTC, it was sunset on Mt Etna volcano.
According to EMSC records, there have been no further seismic events on 16th March up to the time of this post. And only one event of M 3.5 on 15th March at 22:31:54 UTC… a fraction over 24 hours since the Mt Etna eruption of 14th March. It is a possibility that activity in Iceland may be winding down, and replaced by up coming increase in activity from Hawaii. Or, it may be the case that a period of replenishing energy is now occurring in Iceland, in preparation for another notable seismic event in the coming days. I believe the former theory is more probable, especially as an M 4.1 event occurred near Mt Kilauea volcano on 15th March at 06:59:41 UTC. However, in preparation of the latter theory being correct. I have conducted a T Sequence run for the Raykjanes region until the end of March. And the main focus has been on correlations related to Mauna Loa, Mt Kilauea, and Mt Etna volcanoes. The data signifies “Iceland”, but the data is calculated as within one radial minute of time, from coordinates 22’00’W – 64’00’N.

As the data shows, there are predominantly more correlations on 24th March compared to other days. Therefore, if the data was deemed credible, it would indicate that should further seismic activity ensues, the odds are that it will occur approximately post 48 hours of this date. I have only observed one seismic “event time” correlation with the Raykjanes peninsula since 1st March… and no volcanic correlations. I am heeding the word of scientists that are suggesting a volcanic eruption in this region is a foregone conclusion. But my own methodology “is not” indicating that this will be the case !
