On Saturday 6th February at 06:17 UTC, a moderate aspect change occurred in the ACE Mag data… the moon was located on longitude 15’06’E at this time. Longitude 15’06’E calculates as 7 arcmins east of Mt Etna volcano on longitude 14’59’E, or 6 arcmins west of Mt Stromboli volcano on longitude 15’12’E.

At 11:13:19 UTC, the sun was located on longitude 15’12’E, and it was moonset on Mt Stromboli volcano. At “12-hours” later 23:13:40 UTC, the moon was located on longitude 130’39’E Mt Sakurajima volcano in Kyushu, Japan.

At 16:26 UTC, a significant aspect change was recorded in the ACE mag data, it was sunrise on Mt Stromboli volcano at this time. At “12-hours” earlier 04:26 UTC, the SLT was located on coordinates 122’39’E – 24’38’N. An M 5.4 event occurred at these coordinates in the region of Taiwan later this day at 17:36:02 UTC. At “12-hours” later 04:26 UTC 7th Feb, the moon will be located on longitude 55’36’E… 6 arcmins west of Mt Piton de la Fournaise volcano.

At 17:56 UTC, the ATE threshold was located on Mt Stromboli volcano… at “12-hours” earlier 05:56 UTC, it was moonset on Mt Semeru volcano in east Java

At 18:00 UTC, it was moonrise on both Mt Semeru and Mt Sakurajima volcanoes. At “12-hours” later 06:00 UTC 7th Feb, it will be sunrise on Mt Stromboli volcano.

There are currently no seismic / volcanic correlations with Mt Stromboli volcano, so, as per my methodology, the odds of an eruption occurring remains low at this time. But correlations with the ACE date, and a focused correlation between Solar Noon and moonset at 11:13:19 UTC, suggests that it “may” make an appearance in the volcano news during the next 48 hours !

It is always difficult to make an accurate determination between Mt Etna and Mt Stromboli volcanoes, as they are only 13 arcmins of longitude apart. Mt Etna is credited with being the most active volcano… but on this occasion, the data is favoring Mt Stromboli !

At “12-hours” earlier 11:18 UTC, the SLT was located on Mt Stromboli volcano, and it was moonset on Mt Etna volcano !
