    By the end of the month, higher than normal seismic activity until February 20. Initially, the spots of the globe jeopardised, along with the probable quake magnitudes, in the first week of February are:

    1. Mexico (102w/20n) Mw 6,8-7
    2. Northern Italy (10e/45n) Mw 5,5-6,2
    3. Iran-Pakistan border region (62e/27n) Mw 6,5-6,8
    4. Nepal (90e/27n) Mw 6,8-7
    5. Kamchatka (160e/52n) Mw 6,8-7,8.
    6. The mid-Atlantic ridge, near Island (43w/30n) Mw 6,5-7
    7. Scotia sea at (23w/55s) and (41w/55s) Mw 6,5-7
    8. Taiwan (123e/24n) Mw 6,8-7,2
    9. Japan, off the east coast of Honsu (145e/39n) Mw 6,8-7,2
