Hey Tayrence, I have noticed that the “Karma” points seem to increase when congrats is given to a fellow forecaster. If this is the case, then I reckon that at least 50% of mine are attributed to your “years” of successful forecasting 🙂
You are one of the original vet’s like myself, and the stats show that our hit rates have improved since we first joined Quake Watch… the same can be said of our differing methods. We have both received commendation from management for our contributions towards seismic science. Therefore, I believe this affords us the right to experiment, make “mistakes” and generally make fools of ourselves in the public arena ( that last part relates to me 🙂 )
We have had little differences in the time we have both invested here, but we have never intervened with each others determinations… I think that’s called “brotherly respect”. Lastly, could you try for a nice 4.5 in Puerto Rico once in a while… because these big ones are getting boring… 🙂
