On Wednesday 28th August, Darwin VAAC issued the following report: Krakatau (Indonesia)… vona for eruption based on seismic data 28/1830Z (UTC)

Original forecast “Mt Anak Krakatau” in forecast forum dated as August 27 11:20 pm

Submitted for consideration, as visual conformation has not been possible !

MAGMA Indonesia @ magma.vsi.esdm.go.id has confirmed that an eruption of Mt Anak Krakatau volcano occurred at 17:31 UTC (00:31 local time) 28th August… with a duration of 77 seconds. Source is listed as “Anak Krakatau Volcano Observatory”

The above proclamation is therefore reinstated for consideration !!
