😊 thanks, and I have to post that Philippines map marker so you can see what I where I had it. Speaking of Philippines, there was just a half-hour ago a 7.1 hit Pondaguitan. On the mark of Ben’s forecast posted on the app! Cheers to a team win!

It hit in the southern edge, where south meets north.

I looked real closely. I assure you and assert confidently that the top edge of my mark is on just barely over the Philippines quake epicenter. Any lower with my finger mark, and it would have missed…

BTW, Lester, I meant to write that I don’t do these forecasts for entertainment purposes. I checked the timestamp on the map photo – 3:28pm on the 21st – at which time it was saved to my pic gallery. (though it doesn’t have the orange on PNG because I forgot to put it there before saving).

Aw haha, that comment got me Lester! I use an app called Photo Marker to do my maps with a fault map photo I borrowed from the web. I’ll see what I can do to satisfy your longing to see them 😜. But hey, where’s your maps, ..hmmm?

Sorry Lester thtat I didn’t get an answer to you tge other day. Yes I have a map, but I didn’t post yet on sm. The 7.1 that hit Japan was on my map, but it was in highest alert (M7.5+) so I should have made it a red alert.

Hi Lester, congratulations on all the successful predictions! This region has been on the move with big quakes. The Japan one came as a bit of a surprise because it beat the low pressure prominent pre-signals by a couple days. Now though, there is a huge storm there in N.. Japan

    Hey Lester,
Sorry you just missed because of magnitude range, yet good job sighting the region for a temblor in both countries. Awesome forecasting man. Hoping we pin a big one on the next rupture.

Hi, and thanks Mark! Success seems hit and miss. What I do is I carefully follow the recommendations from Ben – having looks into the maps for faults (with some special attention to subduction zones), blot echoes, OLR and spaces between positive and negative, weather to see directional flow. I use a photo marker app to male my forecast map.

Aw, much appreciated, Mark! Interesting about how you’re looking at the ring of waves in the region; my thoughts are that they all are connected in some degree, and part of the reason besides the huge low pressure up there, that I marked Cascadia. The Alaska big one caught us all by surprise, as there weren’t any obvious OLR, lows or blot echo signals – as does sometimes happens.
Thanks again for the vote of confidence.

Seriously, much appreciated moral support, Lester, and yes was taking a break from forecasting for awhile, ..sorry to be absent. Got really busy, and then there was a tragic loss in the family, so my sons and myself have had to go through the motions of grief and taking care of matters.

    Warm Regards,
    Rebecca
