This is a “targeted” experiment and observational exercise, the objective being to see how many moderate and significant threshold correlations occur, at one location during a period of one month. Locations used to determine said correlations include post seismic M 6+ epicentres of occurring events during the month of June, and regions associated with daily activity. Several “frequently” active volcanoes are also included in this formulation.

The San Francisco Bay Area was chosen at random, and the experiment does not imply notable seismic activity is likely to occur in this region. My methodology is able to determine threshold correlations both past, present, and future. But there are several other factors to be taken into account before potential seismic activity could be considered. The following correlations are a guide of what is to come during the month of July. But this sequence may also be accompanied by unforeseen volcanic and seismic events, which may contribute towards a greater outcome in San Francisco. As example, I finished preliminary formulation of this experiment on 30th June. On 3rd July at 01:25 UTC, an eruption occurred from Mt Ebeko volcano in the Northern Kuril Islands, Russia. At this time, it was moonrise East of Oakland, San Francisco. Later on this day at 19:24:36 UTC, an M 2.1 event occurred in the Mt Diablo region… moonrise at this epicentre occurred at 01:24 UTC. One minute makes a big difference with my method, and I can only be as accurate as the data being provided. If the volcano erupted at 01:24:30 UTC, I would probably have rounded it off to the top of the minute too !. Prior to this M 2.1 event occurring, last recorded event according to EMSC occurred on 17th June… did a volcanic correlation on this day, with this pre seismic location influence this outcome !. Future volcanic and seismic correlations will be listed in this thread.

I have calculated these correlations from coordinates 122’40’W – 38’00’N in the Kent Lake region. But for any future correlations like the example above, a deduction of 4 minutes would implicate correlation with moving west from the Mt Diablo region.

On 5th July, two data breaks occurred in the ACE satellite transmission. First break occurred during a penumbral eclipse of the moon between times 05:25 UTC – 06:03 UTC. The second break occurred between times 10:00 UTC – 10:23 UTC… these data breaks correspond with the following scenarios…

05:25 UTC – The SLT (Setting Lunar threshold) and Sunrise both located on coordinates 33’08’W – 57’23’N in the Reykjanes ridge region, South of Iceland. On 10th July 23:04 UTC – Sunset on Reykjanes Ridge… Sunset on Puerto Rico… -12 hours = ATB threshold located on San Francisco… Sun located on longitude 15’22’E i.e. Solar Noon on Mt Stromboli volcano in Italy on coordinates 15’12’E. On 12th July 11:05 UTC – ATB threshold located on San Francisco… Sun located on longitude 15’11’E !

06:03 UTC – Both Sunrise and Moonrise located on coordinates 35’20’W – 53’10’N Charlie-Gibbs Fracture Zone, Northern Mid-Atlantic ridge… approx 500 km’s South of Reykjanes coordinates… -12 hours = Moonrise on Mt Stromboli volcano

10:00 UTC – The RLT (Rising Lunar Threshold) was located on Mt Ebeko volcano in the Northern Kuril Islands. Mt Ebeko volcano has now erupted 4 times between 01:25 UTC 3rd July – 19:58 UTC 4th July.

10:23 UTC – ATB threshold located on Guatemala… Moonrise on Bali Island, Indonesia… -12 hours = Moonset on Bali Island. On 2nd July 20:31 UTC – Moonrise Reykjanes Ridge on stated coordinates… SLT on Bali Island, Indonesia !

6th July 04:24 UTC – Sun located on longitude 115’15’E Bali Island, Indonesia – Moonrise in San Francisco !

Shortly after the data breaks, a significant aspect change occurred in the ACE MAG data between times 11:40 UTC – 12:00 UTC, these coincide with Sunrise and Moonset in Guatemala respectively !

On 8th July at 05:19:00 UTC, an M 4.9 event occurred SSE of Rudna, Poland on coordinates 16’16’E – 51’28’N. According to EMSC records, this was the greatest magnitude event in Poland since an M 4.9 event occurred on 6th February 2010.

At 11:00:09 UTC 8th July, the sun was located on longitude 16’16’E… the ATB threshold was located in the San Francisco Bay Area… and the moon was located on longitude 121’52’W. As example, Mt Diablo in the East Bay Area, resides on longitude 151’53’W.

At 12 hours earlier 23:00:09 UTC 7th July, it was one minute past moonset on Mt Sakurajima volcano in Kyushu, Japan. At the time of this post, there has been no activity from Mt Sakurajima volcano since 09:07 UTC 28th June…day of First Quarter moon phase. At 09:07 UTC on this day, it was sunset on coordinates 140’14’E – 12’03’N pre seismic M 6.2 Micronesia epicentre of 6th July.

For potential reference purposes, I conducted a brief analysis of the “last” 4+ event to occur in the San Francisco Bay Area… as per my methodology, it may shed light on future correlations. The analysis only consists of relevant / significant correlations, loading all 5+ events within one month of period in question, would require significant time, which is not warranted for a one off analysis.

On 15th October 2019 at 05:33:42 UTC, an M 4.5 event occurred in Pleasent Hill, San Francisco on coordinates 122’03’W – 37’55’N. Later on this day at 19:42:30 UTC, an M 4.7 event occurred in Tres Pinos, California on coordinates 121’16’W – 36’38’N.

On 5th October at 03:15:08 UTC, the ATE threshold (Astronomical Twilight Ends) was located in the San Francisco Bay Area… the sun was located on longitude 128’22’E… and the RLT ( Rising Lunar Threshold) was located on coordinates 125’00’E – 6’42’N. These coordinates represent the pre seismic epicentre of an M 6.4 event, which occurred in Mindanao, Philippines on 16th October at 11:37:06 UTC… the day after the San Francisco event. Further events at this Mindanao epicentre include an M 6.6 on 29th October, and an M 6.5 on 31st October. On 25th September 2019 at 23:46:43 UTC, an M 6.5 event occurred in Serum, Indonesia on coordinates 128’22’E – 3’27’S. Therefore, at 03:15:08 UTC 5th October… it was solar noon (high noon) on this post seismic epicentre.

On 7th October at 03:12:02 UTC, the ATE threshold was located in the San Francisco Bay Area… and the moon was located on longitude 121’16’W Tres Pinos. It is this correlation that is of greatest significance. Firstly, the ATE threshold and the moon correlate to both locations on the same day, and both events occurred on the same day. Secondly, the analysis can be more easily dismissed, when main focus is with pre and post seismic locations… frequency of events would be detrimental. However, the question of “odds” is key regarding “infrequent” events i.e. how often does the moon and the ATE threshold line up with San Francisco and Tres Pinos ??

My analysis description only allows me to state; ATE threshold in “San Francisco Bay Area”, as it is calculated using my model. Precise ATE / ATB minute calculation, used to be available from the USNO website (United States Naval Observatory). However, this particular service was taken offline in October 2019 for upgrades, and has not yet returned !

In my previous post, an example was given relating to the “ATB” threshold and the moon simultaneously correlating in the San Francisco Bay Area on 8th July. In October 2019, the M 4.5 event occurred 8 days after ATE / Moon correlation. Will this happen again, or will the ATB threshold be “less” influential !!
