Sorry my friend…
Let’s extend Sumatra. I was looking at OLR going back and forth in our area. Could be worth extending since we seemed to have a lot of data that supported it.
You don’t need my approval for the Hollister post either. 🙂 I wasn’t able to make any new forecast this weekend. It was kind of a bust. Wondering if the work that got me to Danville, minus the quake swarm, was something to just monitor now that I see B&T there!

Didn’t get too much time to really get anything new. That is why I didn’t end up coming back that night. Had many spots that confirmed some areas we have been discussing. I finally tracked a line that included the Nepal area around 1200-1230 UTC March 1st, but it wasn’t much of a flux/relaxation point that appeared as strong as others I tried to track when I could.
I saw your Chile post, nice catch. I had been inclined to post one for Chile with something I saw. You have been quick to post a few new areas too! 🙂 March 4th is coming. I know you have been working on this date for some time with a few areas in mind.
Been having a rough two weeks of lucid dreaming that has been leaving me feeling spent and headachey. I may limit my work again this weekend…maybe 🙂

I hope to be able to take a look this evening my time. Before that quake in Macquarie, I had a few flux spots there and in Hindu/Kush region. Didn’t have too much for Nepal. The last bit of mag data I had showed mid NZ in the passage to north island on up. I haven’t had the time in the last couple of days though. Not sure where things are shifting or repeating.

Gotta another curious spot… a little more activity nearby perhaps? It shows in my flux spots for guangdong too. Don’t want to ignore it now considering what’s going on.
Vema fracture zone near Guiana Basin?
10.767N 43.255W is the site of a 7.3 that occurred back in 17Mar62 as I was researching Guandong for past activity of M6+

A blot appeared in Kamchatka, but then a 6.1 just popped near ceram Sea/Weber Basin Indonesia.
Going to go watch the morning news. I might try to check-in when I can during the week. My posted forecasts are about expire, but your reasoning has me thinking we need keep our eyes peeled.

Ben, if you read this soon… Lester and I are imagining a slew of choice profanity for the moment.
I second the desire to use them Lester. 🙂 at least for the moment.
Shall we terminate our combined watches since we may have missed our stop?

You are going to like this… I kept looking South around the Sumatra/Java gap near Jakarta…I also had a contact that occurred before the 5 in that North Sumatra epicenter…thought what is that 5 didn’t clear out all the potential energy there?
Then mag flux data did something odd were the usual uptick on the USGS charts looked more subtle today. My curiosity had me looking at more the more subtle fluxes this time…Guatemala and Sumatra came up…as well as new Britain.
I read the other areas and many of those show up as well.
Thanks for including me! 🙂

I caught a fresh mag flux connected to it again, but, because it’s a terminator line, it could East Timor, Philippines, mid Atlantic Ridge (maybe trin/Tobago), down in that los Lagos area of Chile? (Moon terminator)
My desire is to try and keep to the model this time, but my stubborn “fish sense” has me thinking it could be a spot! My location at mid Atlantic at Sargasso Sea popped a 5 3 months after my forecast there. 🙂 so, could be nothing. What’s interesting is I am seeing South Africa again in the solar terminator, as well as Arabian peninsula/Iraq/ eastern Turkey into russia… then back throughout aleutians near chignik!
Still working on it 🙂
I am leaning nearer to the Philippines in your recent sequence…but you did get Taiwan last time!
Anyway, been distracted by recent rumbling in my neck of the woods…Danville/Diablo California had a M3 this morning and curious to see if I am on the right track myself? If it’s not a foreshock, another bit I f hyper vigilant goose-chasing for me (lol).
