RSOE alert site has listed an explosion at the Con Edison power plant in Queens, New York, occurring at 04:38 UTC 28th Dec.

At 03:34 UTC 28th Dec, it was Moonrise in Queens, New York… and the sun was located on longitude 126’50’E (126.828’E)

At 04:38 UTC, it was Sunset on co-ordinates 164.699’E – 55.100’N West of Nikol’Skoye, Russia ( M 7.3 epicentre 20th Dec )
