Speaking of curious events… what is going on here ?
M 5.8 Pacific Antarctic Ridge… Sunrise occurred here today at 16:56 UTC, it was Moonrise at this time on the 5.2 East of Abala, Ethiopia epicentre 24/3. At 04:05 UTC today, it was Dusk on the 5.8 PAR epicentre and Dusk on the San Clemente Island epicentre… this might be the reason for an uptick in LA !
This a crazy coincidence wouldn’t you say ??
Score: 0115 ptslesterMay 1, 2018 at 5:41 pm #4446There is still nothing significant for the Los Angeles area… events at San Clemente Island may be the result of sharing the Dawn / Sunset range with the Santa Cruz Island epicentre. Sometimes, there is a casual connection, and if you read the data right you can judge by the seismic history of the area in question, weather a potential felt event is going to occur. Did you try the “curiosity” I posted yesterday, relating to the San Francisco-reunion connection ?… here is another example. Sunset on the San Clemente Island epicentre occurred today at 02:35 UTC, if you input this time in the solar map, you will see that it is also Sunrise on Piton de la Fournaise Volcano, Reunion… a casual connection 🙂
I posted Molucca Sea yesterday, it is the last on the combo list that I shall be following. I am finding it hard to keep pace with the data for multiple locations. I also posted a double Java because the sat data went crazy when it was Dawn on Jakarta… I feared it might have gone to sleep with one eye open 🙂
Here’s another curiosity…
A major power outage occurred in Ethiopia today at 13:45 UTC… 50% of the country was affected. I could not calculate from a specific region, so I decided to use the 5.2 East of Abala, Ethiopia epicentre location as a point of reference… this event occurred on 24th March at 10:27:31 UTC. Dawn on this epicentre occurred today at 01:45 UTC… exactly 12 hours later, the power goes off !. Sunrise occurred today at 03:00 UTC, also at this time, it was Sunset in Diablo, San Francisco bay area, California !!
Makes me wonder how many times it is possible to correlate San Francisco with global events… if your volcano erupts, or your fuses blow, it might lead back to San Francisco 🙂

At 16:00 UTC today, a power outage occurred in Pensacola, State of Florida… affecting 32,000 people.
Solar Noon occurred today in Bay Bluffs Park, Northeast Pensacola at 17:46 UTC
Dawn on 168.329’E – 15.956’S Pentecost Island, Vanuatu (5.8 epicentre) occurred today at 17:46 UTC !!
Score: 0115 pts115 pts115 pts115 ptslesterApril 30, 2018 at 1:26 pm #4431The time stamp on my post yesterday, shows I was doing a very late assessment on Sumatra… apologies if I gave the impression it was of some urgency. The contact times I have amassed shows 8 solar and 2 lunar correlations with 95.620’E – 2.060’N at 72 km’s Southwest of Pulau Simeulue Island, North Sumatra. I have not noted any early UTC contacts as of the time of this post, but you might find this interesting; When you input 23:30 UTC 29/4 in the solar map, it shows Sunrise off Pulau Simeulue Island, if you input 11:38 UTC today, it shows Sunset on the same location… but it also shows Dawn in Sunnyvale, San Francisco Bay area at this time. It is reasonable to suggest events in San Francisco, could be occurring in response to a potential anomaly in North Sumatra.
I am confident that there is at least a 5+ ( 🙂 ) in Central Java… the next contact I see here, and I will put D&M on the case again 🙂
Score: 0115 ptslesterApril 30, 2018 at 1:19 am #4428Heads up… the same 23:30 UTC disruption time also occurred on the 25th, 26th and 27th. Preliminary trails on the maps shows Sunrise and Sunset remains the same on these dates in the Costa Rica region, and off West coast Banda Aceh. These are “not” ACE shut down times because the data feeds resumed shortly after…and my own machine would not be picking up ACE shut down times 🙂
Score: 0115 ptslesterApril 30, 2018 at 12:56 am #4427Chris… check the solar map for 23:30 UTC, I believe there is a major anomaly on the terminator thresholds or sun / moon longitudes connected to this time… but I don’t know where yet. My own equipment recorded a “major disruption” at this time yesterday, I posted West Chile rise in response, but I think I am wrong… the Mag data is showing the same disruption time today.
It hasn’t reached the posted magnitude yet, but I was not wrong about San Francisco… was I ??
Score: 0115 ptslesterApril 29, 2018 at 4:21 pm #4426Between 13th – 16th April, I logged all Phi and aspect change contacts during this 72 hour period, then similarly to what I did on Friday 13th, I formulated solar / lunar combinations… it produced 33 possible locations. As each day passes, I correlate further contacts with these listed locations… once a location reaches 10 hits, I then list it as a potential target. It is then a case of waiting for “significant” aspect changes relating to said pre chosen target. Of the original 33 locations, 12 have now exceeded 10 hits and these are the locations I have been forecasting on… Janggan, Central Java received hit Number 10 yesterday!
This is just another experiment, unfortunately the best it has achieved so far was the 5.3 in the Scotia Sea region, and today I was only a few miles off a dead centre hit in Guam… but again, only a 4.9 at best. There doesn’t seem to be a way of determining magnitude using this method, but it does have potential for getting closer to the target and time of occurrence.
The current forerunner is Western District, Papua New Guinea with 19 hits in 17 days. This one seems to go against my last statement, because I posted on P.N.G. nine days ago on the 20th. It may be the case, the greater number of contacts may reflect the level of magnitude… or realistically, there may be nothing here !
Granada Hills was not included in the combo list, but I did log 2 hits over the same period… not even enough influence here to cause rings in your coffee 🙂

I think Jakarta and Mona passage are played out, but I am still seeing contacts with Puerto Rico and St Croix. Jakarta may have gone to sleep, but a new target seems to be awakening on 110.980’E – 7.540’S Janggan, Central Java… see what you have for here, be a shame to leave Java empty handed 🙂
At 05:29:09 UTC yesterday (27th), the sun reached 13.830’N latitude (Guatemala),it remained on this latitude until 06:44:30 UTC. At 06:05:30 UTC, it was located on longitude 88.050’E… the opposite longitude calculates as 91.950’W (Guatemala). Also at this time, the moon was located on longitude 122.466’W (San Francisco). The Bouvet Island epicentre that I missed yesterday ( 🙁 ) shared a Dawn / Dusk T connection with Sunnyvale, San Francisco (bearing in mind I posted San Francisco on the 25th !!). As well as the Central American activity occurring today, a 5.4 occurred in Hindu Kush, likewise this location today shares a Sunrise / Sunset T connection with 91.950’W – 13.830’N Offshore Guatemala… I posted Guatemala on the 27th !!
The original reason for posting was due to significant contacts in my own and the sat data, and as you can see, the math is falling into place again…
I am not seeing anything for the Granada Hills region… so you can “chill out” this coming week 🙂

Please accept my belated congrats to you and your wife… Mrs Doc and I are exited for you for the coming future. It is funny how we cooperate as buddies to try and achieve results on this forum… yet it is easy to forget we each have different plans in life outside this subject. I can understand you needing more family time, but don’t disappear for to long, otherwise my epitaph on the forum page will read as “Lester alias Doc”, last survivor of Quake Watch.Net 🙂
Don’t fool yourself !… I am starting to get a good feel about how to find these locations prior to event. I am able do this because we have spent the last twelve months helping each other out with different ideas. I believe if we didn’t have this bond, I would not be doing this now. Each forecast I post has a contribution from you… in fact, in your absence I might consider posting as counselor Lester 🙂
Yes!.. I “rely” on your continued help, don’t you forget that 🙂
A 5.3 has just occurred on my forecast location in South Sandwich Islands, which suggests my new strategy seems to be paying off. I may have found a way to narrow the time frame, but I am still at the mercy of unreliable magnitude determinations. This is were TEC, OLR and particulate data may make a difference, I also believe 6’s and 7’s do show in the satellite data, but they are as similarly defined as a 5.3 in South Sandwich… different data has to be the key to determining magnitude !
Anyway, if you are going to have another addition to your family… we had better start looking for 7’s 🙂
Score: 0115 ptslesterApril 24, 2018 at 12:30 am #4399I don’t think any adjustments are necessary, Vandenberg is still within the Santa Cruz margin. At 19:59 UTC today, a significant Phi contact and aspect change was recorded in the Mag data, the last contact before this one occurred at 10:36 UTC… quite a long uninterrupted run. At 19:59 UTC, the sun was located on longitude 120.183’W Vandenberg !… a further Phi contact at 20:22 UTC relates to Moonrise on the same location !
My Friday the 13th stunt hit a target 8 miles from centre… same target was featured in today’s SO news. Kind of ironic that would happen considering the reputable day in question 🙂
Score: 0115 ptslesterApril 23, 2018 at 9:57 pm #4397If I am reading the RSOE event time correctly, Mt Lo Volcano erupted at 10:12 UTC April 19th… it was Sunrise / Sunset on Mona Canyon and Lombok Basin respectively. When the Mt Kusatsu-Shirane event occurred at 04:31 UTC April 22nd… it was Moonset on St Croix Ridge, Puerto Rico
Now “that’s” interesting !!
Los Angeles may experience a felt event “soon”… the Vandeberg contacts are making daily appearances in the sat data !
